Taylor Swift is a Cartographer

People contain multitudes, I think that's Walt Whitman, I read the long version of Leaves of Grass once on John Green's advice. Song of myself is beautiful and a mystery all at once.  Poetry and free verse poetry is hard for me to grok as a whole but I devour non-fiction and I feel like poetry can be a sort of musical nonfiction.

People contain Multitudes is poignant to me because I'm madly in love with a 90s alternative positivity rock band yet still vibing out to a KPop tune while postulating my thoughts on the future of Bitcoin and falling asleep to an old school CCR banger.

I can feel the circular nonsense of this blog developing already in paragraph two but let's ride the wave or carry this tune and see where it goes.

Does a short term fanaticism of a musical artist catalog make me crazy or obsessed? Maybe its just a search for the multitude in their songs or lyrics to find the one that makes me feel seen, helps me find my way or gets me locked into a specific energetic vibe that I have to go back again and again to be sure I didn't miss anything.

Am I a Swifie or does she just have some absolutely incredible songs that gripped me at the right time. I knew she was trouble even before I saw a 4hr show that sold out multiple massive stadiums globally. Her musical skill and business sense are out of my Wildest Dreams. Now I don't want to be the Anti-hero here, I probably just need to Calm Down, she's not my Lover but I'd be lying if I didn't say she had me Enchanted.

Never known what's gonna come out of my brain when I get goin but music can drive me to places I wasnt sure existed let alone knew how to find. Everyone has multitudes and maybe music is a road map that can help us find some of them in ourselves and others.
